I am a family physician.
Before attending medical school, I received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Waterloo. I studied medicine at the University of Western Ontario, graduating in 1994. I completed my residency training in Family Medicine at the University of Western Ontario in 1996. I am licensed by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and am a Fellow of the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
During the early part of my career, during which time I practiced obstetrics, I worked as a family physician in private practice and at the University of Ottawa Health Services. From 2001 until August 2014, I worked as a physician providing walk-in/urgent care at Med-Team Clinic in Kanata.
I provide comprehensive medical care to my patients, from pre-natal obstetrical and pediatric care, through adolescent medicine and adulthood, to geriatric care. This includes a strong focus on education, preventative medicine and counseling.
In my personal time, I enjoy spending time with my husband Jeroen. Together, we support our two teenage daughters in all of their academic pursuits and extracurricular activities. In my spare time I enjoy reading, cooking, camping, cottaging and travelling.
